Polytechnic
- Diploma
- Duration: 3 years
- After graduation, if you do very well (CGPA 3.6 and above out of 4.0) in Polytechnic, you can continue your study at Public Universities for a bachelor's degree (2 - 4 years).

Private Universities
- Diploma, Bachelors, Masters
- Duration: 2 - 3 years
- Can get Bachelor’s degree from their partner universities (UK, US, Australia, etc)


Tuition Fees:
1) Public Universities
With MOE Tuition Grants - est: S$ 17,000 - S$ 30,000 per year
Without MOE Tuition Grants - est: S$ 30,000 - S$ 45,000 per year

2) Polytechnics
With MOE Tuition Grants - est: S$ 11,000 per year
Without MOE Tuition Grants - est: S$ 22,000 per year

3) Private Universities
With MOE Tuition Grants - Not Applicable (No MOE Tuition Grants)
Without MOE Tuition Grants - est: S$ 15,000 - S$ 30,000 per year

*NOTE: Permanent Residents and international students who receive a Tuition Grant are required to work for a Singapore entity for three years upon graduation. Those who do not wish to take up a Tuition Grant and its bond obligation will pay non-subsidised fees throughout their course of study.


Basic/General requirements for entry to University
1) Public Universities
IGCSE: ‘A’ Levels
Myanmar Matriculation Exam:
Have to take SAT Exams and/or Respective universities’ entrance exam and/or interview
English proficiency: IELTS/TOFEL etc

2) Polytechnics
IGCSE: ‘O’ Levels
Myanmar Matriculation Exam:
- Minimum 70% in English and
- Minimum 70% in Maths and
- Minimum 70% in 1 relevant subject and 2 other subjects and/or
- Respective universities’ entrance exam and/or interview
English proficiency: IELTS/TOFEL etc

3) Private Universities
IGCSE: ‘O’ Levels -> Foundation
Myanmar Matriculation Exam:
- Depends on school
- For SIM, overall 70% of best 5 subjects -> Diploma OR
Overall 60% -> Foundation
English proficiency: IELTS/TOFEL etc


Steps in Applying Visa for the Singapore Student Pass
- Passport must be valid for at least 6 months.
- Secure the letter of admission or acceptance from your chosen Singapore University.
- Finish your (Student's Pass Online Application & Registration) SOLAR registration.
- Print the duly accomplished eForm16 because it will be submitted to the Immigration and Checkpoint - --- Authority (ICA) for evaluation.
- Wait for the results.
- Pay the application and issuance fees. (S$90)


Accommodation
- A private apartment example like East Coast, River Valley and Chinatown costs approximately - S$1200 – S$2000.
- HDB flats can range anywhere between S$500 to S$1200 depending upon the location and size of the room.
